What is collagen? Collagen is a protein that forms the basic building block of connective tissues in the body. The structure of individual collagens is divided into 28 types, with the first three being the most important. Type I collagen occupies 90% of all collagen in the body, it is found in the skin, tendons, bones and ligaments. Type II collagen is found in the cell mass of cartilage.
ESSENS Collagen FISH is made from fish collagen derived exclusively from fish skin, namely type I and II and plant collagen type II. Animal-based collagen is poorly soluble in water and the body would not be able to use it, therefore it is hydrolyzed (a decomposition reaction by the action of water) to ensure maximum effectiveness in the body. The most valuable ingredient is native (not destroyed by heat, chemicals or enzymes during processing) non-hydrolyzed plant collagen from acacia, which does not contain any pathogenic factors and retains its natural structure.
Acerola is a shrub or tree whose fruits are the richest source of Vitamin C.
L-tryptophan is an amino acid necessary for every cell in the body and supports the production of collagen.
